My "Little Man" Baby Shower

I have 3 (approximately) glorious weeks of my first pregnancy left. We're having a little boy and he should be arriving somewhere around April 17th. I just received some photos back from my baby shower that I spent months planning - planning my own shower was partly due to my Mom being tied up in opening her own hair salon and partly because I LOVE party planning. I collected tons of inspiration and didn't want anything too cliche or "babyish" so I went with a "Little Man" theme.

I used a lot of the same colours that I'm using in his nursery (black, white, mint and bright yellow) and did tons of DIY projects including this surprisingly simple Paint-Chip Garland which I just turned into a Paint-Chip Mobile (to hang above his crib). It's amazing how "stealing" paint-chips from a hardware store can make you feel super sneaky and guilty! Thankfully, no one caught on that I was taking stack-fulls of the same paint chip colours. I went with a mint ombre colour scheme and was very pleased with how it came out. We held my shower at the new salon (called The White Room Hair Salon) which fit in perfectly with the look and feel I had in mind. My goal was to make my guests feel appreciated and glamorous while they sipped on their own champagne flavours from The Bubbly Bar and dove into the delicious brunch and desserts made by friends and family. I am super thankful and humbled to be loved by such beautiful people. Who we surround ourselves with is so crucial to happiness.
