Happy 4 Months Jude!

As days turn into nights, weeks into months... slow down, time!

What we've learned this month:

Weighs 14lbs 4oz.
25 inches long.

Extremely vocal {also gets this from me!} babbles A LOT, happy screams too.

Loves his soose and a blankie or bunny for falling asleep.

Likes to eat a lot, still eating every 3-4 hours during the night {in the midst of trying to break this habit}

Can almost roll over from back to tummy and gets very frustrated when he gets stuck.
Loves to smile at you {especially at brunettes ;)}
Eyes are still blue!

Happy 3 Months Jude!

A quarter-way through his first year already!

What we've learned this month...

He's able to hold a toy! Fun to watch him swat at things.

Slept 7 hours through the night {YAY!}.

Weighs 12lbs 12oz.

Did a very good job getting his first vaccines.

Can sleep through fireworks.

Likes to dance with Mummy.

Tries to grab your face when you give him kisses.

Likes to fall asleep in Child's Pose.

Decorating the nursery has been one of the most fun experiences of life. I could lie awake in bed for hours just putting pieces together in my head (I've done this a few times until I literally force myself to go to sleep). I've been collecting inspiration from various sources (mainly blogs) for months and months and I wanted to share a few. I knew I wanted mint to be the main colour used regardless if it was a boy or a girl. I wanted it to be modern with an eclectic edge with pieces that are personal to my husband and I. I'm a huge fan of quotes and inspiring messages so I also wanted to add little philosophies around his room - principles I hope he lives by.

The room is nearly complete and I can't wait to share photos. For now, I thought I would share what got my creative juices flowing in the first place. Some of my favourite blogs that I used to search for inspiration are:

My Maternity Shoot

I'm super excited to share the little photo shoot I did with Katie Harrison of Low Key Studio (located in Hamilton). She did such an amazing job capturing this beautiful time in my life! We both wanted to create something very candid, natural and of course, nothing too cliche. We lucked out with special Canadian spring weather that day which made shooting outside A LOT more fun. We shot the majority of the photos in our bedroom and I could not be happier with the results.

If you're looking for a photographer for any occasion, I highly recommend this lovely lady.

My Top Baby Items

I feel like I've been planning for this baby long before we found out we were pregnant. Being a mom is something I've known I've wanted to be since I was a toddler. I practiced imitating my own mom with my younger brother through his early years which has led me to believe that I'll adapt quite quickly to this new chapter in my life. I've researched many baby blogs on what new mom's find to be their favourite baby products and thought I would compile a list of my own. I'm super excited to actually start using these products - not long now! 17 days (roughly) and counting.
